[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Neofect announced on the 13th that its Smart Care Table and Smart Wobble were selected for the ‘2022 Good Design Award’.
They were developed as part of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s Design Innovation Capability Enhancement project. The Korea Institute of Design Promotion led the project, with participation from Neofect, S-Cube Design Lab, and Blessing Eco.
The Smart Care Table is a table-type smart care device that provides cognitive function rehabilitation, game content and care services, and rehabilitation device integration. It offers various features such as an easy and simple user experience/interface (UX/UI), adjustable height, 90-degree rotation (pivot), and integration with smart rehabilitation devices.
The Smart Wobble is a rehabilitation medical device designed for patients with impaired ankle function. It measures ankle range of motion and function, and provides various games and training. By offering customized training and feedback for each patient, it improves ankle joint function. It also indirectly promotes movement of the knee and hip joints, helping to enhance overall lower limb function.
A Neofect representative said, "To enter the global market, securing technological superiority of products as well as design competitiveness are important factors," adding, "We will lead the market by launching innovative medical devices through technology development and design improvement."
The Good Design Award is the most prestigious industrial design competition in Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion. Products selected after evaluation of appearance, functionality, and economic feasibility are awarded the GD (Good Design) mark.
