[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyuk-jun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) is supporting farmers who have suffered crop damage from wild animals such as wild boars, water deer, and birds.
According to the county on the 12th, the compensation targets are actual cultivators whose damaged farmland area exceeds 200㎡ or whose damage assessment amount exceeds 200,000 KRW.
Farmers who suffered damage can submit an application form to the administrative welfare center of the town or township where the farmland is located by the 4th of next month.
Those who have received damage compensation or support under other laws (such as the Agricultural and Fishery Disaster Insurance Act), those who cultivated crops in prohibited cultivation areas, and those who have already received support for damage prevention facility installation projects are excluded from the target.
The county plans to calculate and compensate the damage compensation amount after on-site investigation and review by the Damage Compensation Deliberation Committee.
Meanwhile, the county has supported 161 cases with a total of 89.8 million KRW as damage compensation from 2019 to last year.
