[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Department Store announced on the 12th that it will collaborate with the premium ice cream brand 'Haagen-Dazs' to hold an exhibition and pop-up store event.


Lotte Department Store will hold the 'MELTING POINT Exhibition' on the 6th floor Art Hall of AvenueL until the 30th of next month. Melting Point refers to the melting point where a solid turns into a liquid, and since the theme is ice cream, it captures the happy moment when cold ice cream melts. Nine famous artists, including Kim Ha-kyung, Ggak, Namu13, Noh Yi-shin, Sung Young-eun, and Shim Kyu-ha, participated in this exhibition.


On the basement 1st floor plaza of Jamsil World Mall, an experiential pop-up store themed on the exhibition will be opened. During the event period, Haagen-Dazs events will be held for three days every Friday to Saturday. Visitors can create their own Haagen-Dazs My Label and upload it to social networking services (SNS) on-site to participate in a lucky draw event where they can win purchase discount coupons, goods, Lotte gift certificates, and other prizes.


A Lotte Department Store official said, "For the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), premium ice cream has established itself as a fantastic dessert that unfolds art in the mouth, beyond just a seasonal snack," and added, "We hope that this exhibition and pop-up store event in collaboration with Haagen-Dazs will be recognized by customers as a premium experience combining taste and style."
