[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] AI legal tech startup Laward Company announced on the 11th the launch of 'Albeop (formerly Rotary)', an online service that allows users to quickly meet lawyers.
Until now, consumers have faced the hassle of comparing and analyzing extensive information about lawyers for legal consultations. Albeop introduced a reverse proposal model where legal consumers post simple inquiries and fees, and lawyers who wish to provide consultation directly contact the consumers. This lowers the psychological barrier of having to contact lawyers first while allowing consumers to meet lawyers suitable for their cases in real time.
It is expected that small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners will be able to receive ongoing legal advice on everyday legal matters encountered during business management without having in-house lawyers.
Son Su-hyuk, CEO of Laward Company, said, "Most legal issues can be addressed with just a simple conversation with a lawyer. However, until now, there has been a high psychological barrier of 'Is it okay to ask a lawyer this?' Through Albeop, lawyers who say 'I will respond' come to you within minutes, so this psychological barrier is expected to be resolved."
Albeop is expected to provide quick consultations based on the lawyer network active on Laward Company's legal platform 'Bokdaeri'. The average contract conclusion time in major cities such as Seoul for Bokdaeri, which facilitates work transactions among lawyers, is 41 seconds.
Bokdaeri supports work transactions and trial status broadcasting. This platform currently has over 3,100 lawyer members and has surpassed 10,000 cumulative Bokdaeri contract conclusions. Meanwhile, Laward Company was selected this year for the Early Startup Package program and the technology startup investment program TIPS, both hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
