[Busan=Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' and 'Squid Game' achieved two awards each at the 4th Asia Contents Awards (ACA).
The ACA ceremony was held on the afternoon of the 8th at the outdoor theater of the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan. The awards recognize outstanding TV, OTT, and online content across Asia, including South Korea, and are held annually during the Busan International Film Festival.
ENA drama 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' won Best Content and Best Actress (Park Eun-bin), while Netflix's 'Squid Game' received the Technical Award and Best Supporting Actor (Park Hae-soo), each securing two awards. In the Best Asia Animation category, 'Boys and Girls Outside the Earth' was honored, and in the Best Asia Documentary category, 'Atom Araulo Special Exhibition: Young Workers' received the award.
The Best Actor award went to Ryohei Suzuki from the Japanese drama 'Emergency Room Run' aired on TBS and Disney+, and the Writer Award was jointly awarded to Wang Xiaoxue and Yang Yisu for 'Octagonal Pavilion Rice Mill.' Best Supporting Actress was awarded to Ma Sora for 'This Land Is Mine,' Best New Actress to Bao Xiangyun for 'Flower Bird Autumn Moon Night,' and Best New Actor to Ryusei Yokohama for 'The Journalist.'
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Tatsuo Kawamura, Chairman of the Japanese agency K Dash Co. LTD, and the Achievement Award went to Song Byung-jun, Chairman of the Korea Drama Producers Association. The Popularity Award was given to actress Fan Bingbing, and the Rising Star Award went to Ring Manlung for 'In Gik We Trust' and Kim Min-ha for 'Pachinko.'
