4 Types of Notification Services and Additional Integration with Payco App
Including E-commerce Goods Customs Clearance Details, Mandatory Subscription Alerts for 4 Major Social Insurances, Document24 Processing Status Notifications for Administrative Document Submission and Receipt Platform, and Maritime Port Civil Complaint Alerts
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 6th that starting from the 7th, it will provide four additional notification services that help citizens' daily lives through the national secretary 'Guppi,' including notifications of overseas direct purchase customs clearance details.
The national secretary 'Guppi' is a service that delivers various administrative information related to daily life to citizens through popular private mobile apps, and has established itself as a representative administrative service used by one in four citizens, with the number of users approaching 15 million. Currently, it provides a total of 23 types of notifications such as health checkup guidance, driver's license renewal reminders, and traffic fine notices through apps like Naver, KakaoTalk, Toss, and financial apps.
The four newly added notification services include electronic commerce goods customs clearance details, mandatory subscription alerts for the four major social insurances, document24 processing status notifications for administrative agency document submission and receipt platform, and maritime port civil complaint notifications.
The electronic commerce goods customs clearance notification allows consumers who purchase overseas direct purchase items to conveniently receive customs clearance (completion) details from customs via the national secretary, as the number of overseas direct purchase cases exceeded 88 million annually as of 2021 due to the activation of e-commerce. The mandatory subscription alert for the four major social insurances provides guidance on mandatory enrollment in the four major social insurances such as employment and industrial accident insurance, helping employers avoid penalties caused by missing the obligation when hiring new workers.
The document24 processing status notification informs individuals, companies, and organizations about the processing status of documents submitted to government agencies through the Document24 website for contracts or agreements, or documents sent from government agencies that have arrived. The maritime port civil complaint notification provides information on the status of various civil complaints related to maritime ports to users of the maritime port logistics information system.
Meanwhile, the national secretary 'Guppi' will expand collaboration with private services, increasing the number of apps providing notification services from the current seven private apps to eight apps by including the PAYCO app.
Hwang Gyu-cheol, Director of Public AI Policy, said, “Through this expansion of the national secretary notification services, we hope to provide citizens with more administrative information needed in daily life more conveniently,” and added, “We will contribute to the realization of the digital platform government by proactively providing customized information necessary for citizens in cooperation with the private sector.”
