[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The legal team representing former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok criticized the party's Central Ethics Committee for inadequately stating the reasons for disciplinary action in the attendance summons it sent.

The former leader's legal representatives stated in a press release on the 5th, "The request from the People Power Party Ethics Committee does not specify the concrete facts that constitute the most important grounds for disciplinary action," adding, "This means that the People Power Party has regressed to a Joseon Dynasty-style magistrate trial of 'You know your crime yourself.'"

The summons disclosed by the legal team contained the message that "The party's Ethics Committee has decided to initiate disciplinary action against the former leader. Submit a written explanation by noon on the 5th and appear on the 6th to provide an explanation."

On the same day, the legal team sent a reply letter to the People Power Party requesting ▲ that the specific facts constituting the grounds for disciplinary action be detailed and notified again ▲ and that the deadline for submitting opinions be extended to more than 10 days.
