Smart Mobility Brings Road Traffic and Logistics Industry Experts Together... Policy Seminars, Conferences, and Various Side Events Facilitate Latest Information Exchange

‘2022 Smart TransLogistiX,’ Korea’s first specialized exhibition for smart road traffic and logistics industries, will be held for three days from October 12 at COEX Hall A in Seoul.


This exhibition will feature various conferences and seminars as side events to share and discuss key policies and innovative technologies in the fields of road traffic, mobility, and logistics. It is expected to be an opportunity where experts leading the 4th industrial revolution in these fields gather to share the latest information and promote technological exchange.


On the opening day, October 12, a policy seminar titled “Smart Mobility and Future Road Changes” will be held, with participation from major institutions and companies in the smart mobility service sector, including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Seoul Institute, Hyundai Motor Company, and Socar. The seminar will begin with a presentation by Hong Sang-yeon, Research Fellow at the Seoul Institute’s Transportation Systems Research Division, on “Changes in Urban Transportation Systems for a Sustainable Smart Mobility Ecosystem,” followed by thematic presentations and discussions involving Hyundai Motor Company, Socar, and others.


On October 13 and 14, a Smart Mobility & Smart Logistics Innovation Strategy Conference will be held with 200 mobility and logistics industry professionals participating. This paid event will run for two days. On the 13th, keynote speeches will include one by Yoon Jin-hwan, Director General of Comprehensive Transportation Policy at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, along with speakers such as Park Moon-gu, Executive Director at Samjong KPMG, and Seo Ho-seok, PM at KT Convergence Technology Institute, discussing innovation strategies for the mobility era. On the 14th, Min Yeon-ju, Director of the Smart Logistics Research Center (KOTI), will lead discussions with Kim Eun-seok, Team Leader at Kakao Mobility, and Myung Chang-guk, Executive Director at LG CNS, sharing strategies on smart logistics systems and the logistics industry, including same-day delivery and autonomous delivery robots.


The Logistics & Distribution AI Leaders Conference, hosted by the Korea Integrated Logistics Association on October 13 and 14, will feature participants such as Kim Kwang-seok, Director at the Korea Economic Research Institute, and Professor Cho Sung-bae from Yonsei University. They will discuss digital innovation in the logistics and distribution industry incorporating AI technology with corporate executives and team leaders in the logistics and distribution sectors.


Lee Dong-gi, President of COEX, stated, “As experts and professionals leading the smart mobility and logistics industries gather in one place, we expect a high level of information exchange,” adding, “This will help exhibition participants envision the future of related industrial fields.”
