Abko "Global GPU New Product Launch Rush... Expected Benefit from Increased PC Replacement Demand"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Abko announced on the 5th that it is expected to benefit from an increase in PC replacements following the release of new GPUs (Graphics Processing Units) by global semiconductor companies such as Nvidia and Intel.

It is explained that typically, when a new GPU is released, the demand for PC replacements among internet game users increases. In particular, demand deferred over the past two years due to increased cryptocurrency mining demand and semiconductor supply shortages is also expected to be added.

Abko, the No.1 gaming gear company in Korea, focuses on gaming gear and PC-related devices. It sells a variety of gaming gear and PC peripherals such as keyboards, mice, headsets, gaming chairs, PC cases, and cooling fans. Most of these items are purchased together when replacing a PC.

Global No.1 GPU company Nvidia unveiled the RTX 40 series, a high-end gaming PC GPU, about two years after releasing the RTX 30 series. High-end PC replacements or purchases lead to purchases of high-spec PC peripherals, which can increase sales of premium line products.

Meanwhile, Intel officially entered the GPU market by unveiling the Arc A770 GPU. Demand is expected to be high, especially among gamers who prioritize price-to-performance ratio.

An Abko official stated, "With the release of GPUs at various price points, users have a wider range of choices, so we expect an improvement in the gaming gear sector's performance," adding, "In particular, premium product lines are expected to greatly benefit from the release of high-performance GPUs."

He continued, "The release of reasonably priced GPUs and price stabilization are also positive factors for increased PC replacement demand."

Meanwhile, Abko is actively targeting the global gaming gear market through collaboration strategies with major global game companies. In May, it participated in producing official licensed gaming gear for Blizzard’s Diablo II: Resurrected and also released official licensed gaming gear for Pearl Abyss’s Black Desert.
