KB Kookmin Card Begins Credit and Check Card Processing Agency Services for Jeonbuk Bank

[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] KB Kookmin Card announced on the 5th that it has successfully launched its first credit card agency business, processing agency services for Jeonbuk Bank's credit and check cards.


KB Kookmin Card conducted a six-month beta test this year to enhance system stability for Jeonbuk Bank's processing agency services. After the service launch, it underwent a one-month stabilization and monitoring period, successfully establishing the service. Moving forward, beyond simply operating card processing agency services, KB Kookmin Card plans to continuously collaborate according to each client’s needs to strengthen business partnerships for qualitative growth by supporting new product development, conducting joint marketing events, and implementing strategic marketing support policies.


To provide this first credit card agency service, KB Kookmin Card newly established agency infrastructure (including public projects, automatic payment, research fund management systems, etc.). Through this, the processing agency business scope expanded from check and prepaid cards to include credit cards, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of its processing agency operations.


With this processing agency service, Jeonbuk Bank cards are integrated into KB Kookmin Card’s representative application, KB Pay, enabling both online and offline payment services. KB Pay offers various financial experiences including payment, remittance, membership services, and asset management functions, and is an expandable platform supporting multiple payment methods. In the future, various app functions of KB Kookmin Card will be integrated into KB Pay, allowing customers to use comprehensive financial services such as payment, remittance, and MyData services all within a single app.


A KB Kookmin Card official stated, "Through the Jeonbuk Bank credit card processing agency service, we have secured competitiveness capable of meeting diverse business demands from various clients despite intensified competition in the card processing agency industry." He added, "We plan to continuously strive to acquire promising clients across various industries and support the growth of existing clients based on the credit card agency infrastructure and know-how established through this agency business."
