[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Neople announced on the 4th that it will donate 50 million KRW to the Jeju Social Welfare Community Chest to support the Jeju Family Foster Care Center for the living stability and self-reliance support of low-income grandparent-headed foster children in Jeju Island.

Neople signed a business agreement with the Jeju Social Welfare Community Chest and the Jeju Family Foster Care Center and will provide support until September 2023 for foster children living in poor housing conditions in grandparent-headed families, including improving residential environments such as replacing old wallpaper and flooring, repairing kitchens, and supporting educational expenses necessary for learning, talent development, and obtaining certifications.

No Jeonghwan, CEO of Neople, said, “We hope that the donation will be a valuable help so that low-income foster children, who are socially marginalized, can dream of a bright future in a stable living environment,” and added, “Neople will continue to support children and adolescents in Jeju Island who need help to grow up healthily as members of our society.”

Kang Ji-eon, Chairman of the Jeju Social Welfare Community Chest, said, “We thank Neople and the Family Foster Care Center for their efforts to establish sustainable infrastructure for foster children,” and added, “The Community Chest will continue to do its best in project management as a ‘sharing platform’ that connects donors and places in need.”

Meanwhile, at the end of August, Neople donated educational supplies such as safety mats, electronic blackboards, and special education software to the Jeju Deaf Welfare Center to improve the educational environment for hearing-impaired children in Jeju Island.
