[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Rain will fall nationwide until tomorrow morning, and temperatures will gradually drop after the rain stops.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 3rd, more than 20mm of rain per hour is expected overnight in the central region. The rain cloud band will gradually move southward, bringing rain to the southern region tomorrow morning, with most of the rain stopping by the morning.
During the early hours of tomorrow, strong rain of 20 to 30mm per hour is expected in the Seoul metropolitan area and northern Chungcheongbuk-do. Except for Gangwon Yeongdong, the central region will receive 30 to 80mm of rain, with some areas receiving over 100mm. Gangwon Yeongdong, northern Gyeongbuk, northern Jeonbuk, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo are expected to receive 10 to 60mm, while other regions will see 5 to 30mm.
From tonight, very strong winds will blow mainly in the Gangwon mountain areas and island regions, so caution is advised for facility management. There may also be gusts and thunder and lightning over the East Sea.
Until tomorrow morning, temperatures will be similar to today, with Seoul at 17°C and Daegu at 22°C.
During the day, the weather will become noticeably chilly. Seoul will stay around 20°C, with Gwangju at 21°C and Busan at 24°C. Rain will continue for a long time in Gangwon Yeongdong, and morning temperatures will drop below 10°C in the latter half of the week.
