[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] Samsung Electronics will launch the "Samsung Electronics Membership Plan" on the 3rd, providing consumers with benefits closely related to daily life in connection with the "Samsung.com e-Food Hall." The plan aims to support a smart lifestyle by linking home appliances with different industries.
The Samsung Electronics Membership Plan is a program that offers benefits worth up to 720,000 KRW over three years when purchasing a certain amount of food monthly using partner cards such as Samsung Card and NH Nonghyup Card. It can be subscribed to at the Samsung.com e-Food Hall. The e-Food Hall is an online food market on Samsung.com where various groceries, including home meal replacements (HMR) and meal kits from major domestic food companies, can be conveniently purchased in one place.
The Samsung Electronics Membership Plan is characterized by expanding the subscription targets and benefits from the "My Cooker Plan Membership," designed for buyers of the new concept multi-cooking device "Bespoke Cooker." Subscriptions are available by purchasing Bespoke home appliances such as refrigerators and ovens, the latest TVs like Neo QLED and The Serif, or smartphones such as Galaxy Z Fold4, and entering the product serial number. Consumers who have already purchased the products can also use the program if the purchase was made within the last six months.
The Samsung Electronics Membership Plan offers two options: the "65 Plan," which provides a monthly discount of 20,000 KRW on card payments for 36 months, up to 720,000 KRW, when purchasing at least 65,000 KRW worth of products monthly from the e-Food Hall; and the "39 Plan," which offers a monthly discount of 15,000 KRW for 24 months, up to 360,000 KRW, when purchasing at least 39,000 KRW monthly.
Hwang Tae-hwan, Vice President of Samsung Electronics Korea, said, "We aim to build an ecosystem centered on Samsung Electronics home appliances to support various consumer lifestyles and achieve innovation in customer experience." He added, "With the newly launched membership plan, we will provide consumers with a convenient daily life and continue to expand partnerships across different industries, including devices, services, and content for healthcare."
