Renault Korea Continues Heavy Rain Discounts in October


[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Renault Korea Motors announced on the 2nd that it will offer October discount benefits for new car buyers to celebrate the full-fledged autumn outing season.


Special discount benefits for customers affected by the heavy rain will continue in October as well. Customers who have been affected by the heavy rain or their spouses will receive a special discount of 200,000 KRW when purchasing the XM3, SM6, or QM6. (Excluding SE vehicles)


The mid-size sedan SM6 introduced a new trim called the “Pil[必; Feel]” trim. The SM6 Pil[必; Feel] trim reflects common features that consumers actually need for vehicle operation, based on surveys conducted at sales sites, incorporated into the vehicle’s standard and optional specifications.


The base price of the SM6 Pil[必; Feel] trim is 27.44 million KRW, which is 940,000 KRW lower than the existing LE trim, but most of the features preferred by consumers in the LE trim have been included as standard equipment. Additionally, with full options including the comfort package?highway and traffic jam driving assist, emergency braking assist (detecting vehicles/pedestrians/bicycle riders), distance warning, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, parking steering assist, 360° parking assist (front/side/rear warnings and other ADAS systems), Easy Connect 9.3” navigation with in-car payment, assist call, real-time T-map navigation, front seat ventilation, and passenger power seat?the price is 30.05 million KRW.


The 2023 QM6 applies the Driving Assist Package, an intelligent safety option, as standard from the RE Signature trim. The top-tier Premier trim enhances product value by featuring premium eco-friendly Alcantara black leather upholstery on the front and rear seat shoulders. The QM6 LPe boasts comfortable and practical space utilization by installing an LPG donut tank under the trunk floor. It also features a patented mounting system that ensures passenger safety in rear-end collisions.


Renault Korea started pre-orders for the XM3 E-TECH Hybrid, scheduled for release this fall, from the 1st of this month. The XM3 E-TECH Hybrid was developed by incorporating hybrid technology know-how from the Renault Group F1 machine and is equipped with a hybrid drive system closest to an electric vehicle, enabling up to 75% electric vehicle mode driving in urban areas below 50 km/h. The dual motor system, consisting of a drive electric motor (36kW / 205Nm) and a high-voltage starter motor (15kW / 50Nm) that also functions as a generator, is combined with a hybrid-optimized 1.6 gasoline engine and a clutchless multi-mode gearbox, providing high energy efficiency as well as balanced dynamic driving performance.


Meanwhile, Renault Korea Motors’ main models are characterized by fast delivery after contract. SM6 and XM3 gasoline models (TCe 260, 1.6 GTe) are expected to be delivered within one month after contract, and QM6 within two months. However, delivery times may vary for some trims depending on parts supply conditions.
