Gangdong-gu Hosts the 3rd Children and Youth Joint Festival 'Our Shining Today'

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Many children live busy days with academies and homework, expressing feelings of helplessness and depression.

The festival, starting at 1 PM on the 1st, is a specially planned event to help these children discover what they like through various experiences and to blow away their boring and frustrating daily lives.

Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Soo-hee) will hold the children and youth joint festival "Our Shining Today" at Cheonho Park at 1 PM on the same day.

This festival is very meaningful in that children and youth from "Kkum Miso" and "Mirae Bonbu" directly set the theme, plan promotional posters and programs themselves, and operate the event. Now in its third year, this event has chosen the sub-theme "Things We Like" and will offer a variety of programs from 1 PM to 5 PM.

At the Cheonho Park badminton court, various and active experience booths such as ▲Ttukttak Ttukttak Snowball Making ▲My Own Notebook Making ▲Sticker Tattoos ▲Craft Experience ▲Roll Sandwich Cooking Experience ▲Pitching Target ▲Shooting ▲Shoe Throwing will welcome children and youth, and on one side, activity videos of Kkum Miso and Mirae Bonbu titled "Our Shining Days" will be screened.

A space exhibiting works created by children under the theme "Things We Like" is also prepared, and a sticker photo booth is set up to leave special memories for children participating in the festival.

On the outdoor stage, from 2 PM for one hour, a lively performance including musicals, dance, and guitar playing, which children have prepared for a long time, will be held, providing a time to fully showcase their honed skills.

The children's self-governing center "Kkum Miso" operates a 1st and 3rd generation space-sharing project where children use empty senior centers after school, currently running up to the 12th branch. "Mirae Bonbu" is a facility exclusively for children and youth under 18 years old, where they plan desired programs through self-governing activities as a user-led space. Of course, the usage fee is free.
