LG Electronics Applies Four Pastel Colors to Plant Appliance 'Tiun Mini'

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] LG Electronics announced on the 30th that it will launch a new version of its plant lifestyle appliance, 'LG Tiun Mini,' featuring four pastel tones on the lower part of the product and incorporating recycled plastic.

LG Electronics stated that starting from the 1st of next month, it will apply new pastel colors?beige, mint, lemon, and peach?to the lower part of the Tiun Mini. This expands the existing gray color to four pastel options. The colors are designed to suit any place in the home, allowing customers to choose according to their preferences and interior d?cor, serving as a kind of customer experience (CX) service.

Except for some parts such as the transparent cover of the LED (light-emitting diode) lighting section, recycled plastic was used for the product’s exterior. This is part of LG Electronics’ ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management practice to promote resource recycling and a circular economy. To implement a resource circular economy, LG Electronics is increasing the use of recycled plastics and eco-friendly packaging in manufacturing home appliances. The company is also conducting a campaign to collect used batteries from premium cordless vacuum cleaners CodeZero A9 and A9S.

To meet customers’ desire to easily grow various flowers and plants, LG Electronics recently launched marigold seed kits in yellow and flame yellow colors, increasing the types of plants that can be grown with the Tiun Mini from six to eight. The company plans to add more seed kits for different plants in the future.

LG Electronics listens to customer feedback through active community activities on the official Tiun caf? and is creating a plant lifestyle culture together with customers. Reflecting customer opinions that the black power cable of the Tiun Mini spoils interior aesthetics, the cable color was changed to white starting in July. The application of new colors to the new product also reflects suggestions from community members.

The LG Tiun Mini with new colors can be found at LG Best Shop stores nationwide. Additionally, the new product can be experienced at the 'ThinQ Escape Room Caf?' held at 'Ilsangbiilsangui Teum' near Gangnam Station in Seoul. The new product is priced at 199,000 KRW based on the shipment price. Customers who purchase the product will receive the 'Fragrant and Precious Package A' seed kit, which features popular plants such as arugula and vitamin-rich greens.

The LG Tiun Mini is a plant lifestyle appliance designed to allow anyone to easily grow companion plants indoors by reducing size and lowering price. By attaching the seed kit, adding water and nutrients, and turning on the LED light, plants can be grown conveniently. The seed kit does not use soil, so there is no need to worry about soil dust. It is small and light enough to be placed on a bedside table, office desk, or dining table. Multiple Tiun Minis can be added to enjoy plants throughout the home as smart flowerpots.
