"Hangover Cure?" Pre-Arrest Warrant for Pro Golfer Involved in Drug Use

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] A male professional golfer who deceived a colleague into taking drugs by claiming they were hangover remedies has been apprehended by the police.

On the 28th, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul announced that they are investigating a male professional golfer in his 20s on suspicion of giving a female professional golfer, who was drinking with him in July, a drug disguised as a hangover cure and making her take one pill.

The victim reportedly felt dizzy after taking the pill she was given, returned home, and directly reported the incident to the police.

The police requested a detailed analysis from the National Forensic Service for the perpetrator and three golf students who were also present at the drinking party, and it is known that all four tested positive for drugs.

The perpetrator reportedly admitted to all charges of taking and administering the drugs during the police investigation.

Meanwhile, the police applied for a pre-arrest warrant for the man at the court the day before, and plan to continue investigating the other three under charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
