Happy Housing is public rental housing aimed at alleviating housing insecurity for young people aged 19 to 39, newlyweds, and university students. It is characterized by being supplied at prices lower than the surrounding market rates on sites with convenient public transportation and close proximity to workplaces, supported by national finances and the Housing and Urban Fund.
According to the supply conditions of Happy Housing, Incheon Gajeong 2 District also has clear advantages in transportation convenience and proximity to workplaces. In terms of transportation, it secures various routes connecting Seoul and Incheon, including Incheon Subway Line 2’s Gajeong Station and Seogu Office Station, Gyeongin Expressway, and the Seoul Metropolitan Area’s 1st and 2nd Ring Expressways.
The conditions for proximity to workplaces are also met. The location offers easy commuting to the Incheon Western Industrial Complex, Incheon Local Industrial Complex, and Incheon Machinery Industrial Complex, all located in the Seo-gu area of Incheon, and fast and convenient commuting is possible by utilizing a well-organized transportation network.
The area also stands out for its abundant living infrastructure and pleasant residential environment. In particular, Gajeong 2 District is emerging as a new residential town within Incheon based on its triple-town location connecting Cheongna, Gajeong, and Luwon City, allowing residents to easily access the rich cultural facilities and infrastructure of these areas. Kindergartens, elementary schools, and commercial facilities are also planned to be newly established within Gajeong 2 District.
Experts say, “The Happy Housing to be built in Incheon Gajeong 2 District reflects the demand of young people who value work-life balance by securing the three elements of convenient transportation, proximity to workplaces, and living infrastructure,” adding, “The location, which allows enjoyment of abundant cultural facilities and healing from nature, also positively influences young residents.”
