Uiryeong-gun's Acorn Dokkaebi Experience Considering Wildlife Feeding a Huge Success

Uiryeong-gun's Acorn Dokkaebi Experience Considering Wildlife Feeding a Huge Success Acorn Goblin Experience Event held at Uiryeong-gun Natural Recreation Forest, Gyeongnam.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] At Jagulsan Natural Recreation Forest in Uiryeong, Gyeongnam, an event to make dokkaebi (goblin) using only the shells of acorns, leaving the acorn kernels for wild animals, attracted more participants than initially expected, leading to plans for an additional event in October.

Uiryeong County announced on the 27th that the "Let's Play in the Forest!" event held at Jagulsan Natural Recreation Forest concluded successfully.

The experience event held on the 24th involved making straps using the Jagulsan dokkaebi character and acorn shells (gakdu) native to Jagulsan, a woodworking craft that anyone, regardless of age or gender, can easily participate in.

Originally, the event was planned to be held four times with a capacity of 20 people each session, but due to word of mouth, many people participated on-site, resulting in a total of 110 participants making dokkaebi and acorn straps.

Ms. Shin Jisuk, who conducted the event, said, "I was surprised by the much larger number of participants than expected. It was tiring, but I feel proud because both children and adults who participated seemed to enjoy the experience with smiles."
