[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Wellness curation startup Gajilab has appointed Kim Nai, a career accelerator, as its new Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). Gajilab is a startup founded by former members of Noom and has secured seed investments from Naver D2SF, Kakao Ventures, and others.
CSO Kim Nai has built a career in the financial sector, working at Hyundai Card, Korea Investment & Securities, and JP Morgan. She started her career at Hyundai Card in 2003 and from 2011 worked as a structured derivatives expert at JP Morgan, the world's largest securities firm, until she left in 2014.
Afterwards, she began working as a career accelerator. By analyzing the latest trends in industries and companies, she has guided individual career growth from a macro perspective. She has provided one-on-one career consulting to a cumulative total of 4,000 employees across various fields including large corporations, foreign companies, startups, and professionals.
Gajilab is developing a wellness curation algorithm under the mission of "enabling a healthy today that is true to oneself," considering the context of daily life. The algorithm matches wellness resources and content based on a wellness framework that analyzes factors affecting health across three axes: self, environment, and knowledge. In particular, it is conducting in-depth analysis of how work environment and career impact the health of modern people from the environmental perspective.
CSO Kim Nai said, "Gajilab already possesses know-how in the growing healthcare market and is an attractive team composed of wellness and healthcare experts who have collaborated for five years at Noom," adding, "We will realize wellness curation that takes career environment into account."
Kim Youngin, CEO of Gajilab, said, "Wellness for modern people is an area directly related to career performance and satisfaction," and added, "Building on CSO Kim's joining, we will fuse wellness and career domains to provide practical wellness solutions tailored to each individual's environment."
