Sinan-gun, Purple Island Aster Flower Festival Opens on the 30th

[Sinan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, will hold the 'Purple Island Aster Flower Festival' under the theme 'BoraBora Purple Island' on Banwolbakji-do, famous for Purple Island, from the 30th of this month to the 10th of next month.

Purple-colored flowers such as lavender, lilac, hollyhock, Lythrum salicaria, and aster are planted throughout the island, creating a unique and beautiful scenery filled with purple flowers from spring to autumn, attracting about 300,000 tourists every year.

Purple Island was selected as the UNWTO World's Best Tourism Village in 2021 and as a Star of Korean Tourism by the Korea Tourism Organization, gaining attention both domestically and internationally.

Everything on the island, from the bridge to the roofs and window frames of buildings, to the utensils used by residents, is all purple.
