[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Planning and Culture Committee of Jinju City Council in Gyeongnam embarked on an on-site inspection during the administrative affairs audit schedule of the 241st Jinju City Council 1st regular session.
On the 26th, the Planning and Culture Committee directly visited and inspected the current status of the Jinju City Urban Control Center operation and the progress of the new construction project for the Disabled Culture and Sports Center.
The first inspection site, the Urban Control Center, plays a role in ensuring citizens' safety and protecting lives through 24-hour city monitoring.
During the visit, the committee members listened to explanations about the Urban Control Center's equipment and toured the monitoring staff's workplace.
According to Jinju City, the center is equipped with various urban information collection systems, including an intelligent CCTV control system, enabling rapid response to various crimes.
After seeing the site, the committee members said, "We hope the Urban Control Center will play a leading role in ensuring citizens' safety and protecting lives. In particular, through monitoring in the traffic sector, we hope Jinju City will strive to become the best traffic safety city."
The Disabled Culture and Sports Center, visited next, is a facility selected in 2019 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's public contest for a disabled-friendly national sports center. Construction began in August 2021 and is scheduled for completion in October 2022.
The committee urged the project to proceed without any obstacles so that disabled persons can use the facility smoothly and emphasized the importance of preparing activation plans such as providing convenience for users.
Chairman Hwang Jin-seon said, "We hope the Disabled Culture and Sports Center will contribute to expanding social participation of disabled persons and to welfare and health promotion."
