Hamyang Namgye Seowon "Song of Light, Illuminating the Seowon"

From September 30 to October 30, Media Art Show and Laser Performance, etc.

Hamyang Namgye Seowon "Song of Light, Illuminating the Seowon" Gyeongnam Hamyang-gun will hold "Song of Light, Illuminating Seowon" at Hamyang Namgye Seowon.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang County, Gyeongnam, will hold the 2022 Hamyang Namgye Seowon World Heritage Media Art "Song of Light, Illuminating the Seowon" at Hamyang Namgye Seowon for 31 days from the 30th of this month to October 30.


This media art project was selected as a cultural heritage project by the Cultural Heritage Administration, combining media, digital, and IT technologies with world heritage and cultural heritage to promote the universal value of world heritage as new utilization content. Hamyang Namgye Seowon was chosen, and the event will be held this year.


On the first day, starting at 6 p.m. on the 30th, the main content such as the reenactment of the royal plaque enshrinement ceremony and media facade and laser shows set against the backdrop of Pungyeongnu in front of Seowon Plaza will be fully underway.


As sub-content, immersive media productions using the interior of the Seowon and experiential content to convey the educational value of the Seowon are prepared. Various linked programs such as outings to the Seowon wearing Hanbok, Cheongsachorong moonlight night walks, the world heritage (Namgye Seowon) premium trail, and a buckwheat field photo zone have also been organized to provide more diverse content.


Additionally, shuttle buses will operate for the convenience of local residents visiting Hamyang Namgye Seowon, departing from Sangnim at 6 p.m. and from Daebongsan Camping Land at 7:20 p.m.


An event official said, "We believe this is an opportunity to promote the universal value and excellence of Namgye Seowon, a world heritage site, by experiencing it through various media contents. We hope that through enjoying world heritage combined with media, digital, and IT technologies, many people will reflect on the value of world heritage and have a healing time for their minds and bodies exhausted by COVID-19."
