[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] The International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) has issued a red notice for Kwon Do-hyung, CEO of Terraform Labs.
On the 26th, the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office announced that Interpol had issued a red notice for CEO Kwon.
Earlier, the Terraform-Luna investigation team at the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office obtained arrest warrants for Kwon and six related individuals, whose whereabouts were unknown, around mid-month and requested cooperation from Interpol to secure and transfer their custody. For five Koreans, they also requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to invalidate their passports.
CEO Kwon was initially reported to be residing in Singapore, but the Singapore Police denied this on the 17th of this month (local time).
The prosecution is reportedly narrowing down the investigation by compressing the possible whereabouts of CEO Kwon.
A prosecution official stated, "We are currently proceeding with procedures to confirm Kwon Do-hyung's whereabouts and secure his custody," adding, "We will promptly uncover the facts in cooperation with overseas investigative agencies in the future."
