Students from the Electric Vehicle Department who won awards at the 13th National Automobile Maintenance Skills Competition and the 4th National Automobile Body Repair Competition are taking a group commemorative photo.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Students from the Department of Electric Vehicles at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology recently received awards at the '2022 Auto Salon Week National Competition for Vehicle Maintenance and Body Repair.'
The Korea Automotive Technicians Association held the '2022 Auto Salon Week' from the 16th to the 18th at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do.
The competition was organized to enhance the pride of automotive technicians, promote an eco-friendly vehicle maintenance culture, and advance the automotive industry.
As side events, the '13th National Automobile Maintenance Skills Competition' and the '4th National Automobile Body Repair Competition' were also held.
Second-year students Lim Hyung-woo and Kwon Min-guk from the Department of Electric Vehicles participated in the general division of the National Automobile Maintenance Skills Competition and received encouragement awards in the maintenance category.
Second-year students Jung Seung-hyun and Kim Su-ho from the Department of Electric Vehicles received a silver award and an encouragement award respectively in the body repair category at the National Automobile Body Repair Competition.
Jung Seung-hyun, who received the silver award, said, "Thanks to the strong guidance from our professors and the systematic practical training at the university workshop designated as the industrial engineer practical exam site, we were able to achieve good results."
Professor Lee Jong-ho, advisor of the Department of Electric Vehicles, said, "Since the Department of Electric Vehicles was selected last year for the 'College Student Work-Learning Dual System' supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, it has been solidifying its position as the top automotive specialized department in the southeastern region, nurturing future-oriented automotive field personnel."
