Pukyong National University Hosts International Forum with Graduate Students from 5 Countries ... Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan, Netherlands

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Duyul] The Humanities Korea Plus (HK+) Project Group at Pukyong National University will hold the 6th Next Generation Graduate Student Forum online on the 28th, with graduate students from five countries including Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan, and the Netherlands participating.

The forum is an annual international academic event held to introduce and provide opportunities for exchange of research achievements by emerging scholars worldwide studying Northeast Asian maritime humanities.

The event will be held under the theme "Development and Exchange of Modern and Contemporary Northeast Asian Maritime Humanities Networks," and will proceed in three sessions: ▲Northeast Asian maritime area and fisheries ▲Northeast Asian maritime area and ports ▲Northeast Asian maritime area and humanities.

Graduate students from Pukyong National University, Jeju National University, Korea Maritime and Ocean University, Shanghai Normal University, Sun Yat-sen University, National Chengchi University, Kyoto University, University of Tokyo, and Maastricht University will present topics and engage in discussions at the forum.

The forum will be simultaneously interpreted in each country's language and provided live online via the project group's YouTube channel and Zoom.

Son Dongju, head of the Pukyong National University HK+ Project Group, said, "I hope this event will be an opportunity for emerging scholars worldwide to deepen their understanding of each other and present a progressive blueprint for the development of the Northeast Asian maritime area."
