From the 30th of this month to the 16th of next month, simultaneous 'Autumn Regular Sale'
Up to 50-60% off + marathon, jazz performances, exhibitions, pop-ups, and other experiential events

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Department store industry will simultaneously launch the autumn regular sale from the 30th of this month until the 16th of next month. Since the sale period includes two separate three-day golden holidays, the strategy is to attract outing customers to department stores by offering not only product discount events but also diverse events with an ‘autumn festival’ concept such as marathons and jazz performances.
According to the distribution industry on the 26th, Lotte Department Store chose ‘season of festivals’ as the keyword for this autumn regular sale. They will present unique events and activities to enjoy the first autumn since the transition to endemic (periodic outbreak of infectious diseases) along with discount events. On October 2, during the golden holiday period, a running festival called ‘Style Run’ with a music theme will be held at the Jamsil World Tower Lawn Plaza and around Olympic Park. The recruitment of about 5,000 participants on a first-come, first-served basis was closed in less than a week. From the 29th, lifestyle brands such as Entredition, Ginori, and Florad?nica will showcase their representative items along with a themed exhibition at Bukchon Hanok Village.
Beauty and fashion events for customers preparing for autumn parties will also continue. From the 30th to October 10, ‘La Festa Beauty Week’ will be held with the participation of 33 luxury beauty brands. Women’s fashion group Handsome plans to give padding vests, cashmere blankets, and more as gifts for purchases over 2 million won at Time and Objet.
Shinsegae Department Store will present products from about 300 brands at up to 50% discount across 13 stores, and also prepare various events such as a popup store for Italian hiking shoes targeting autumn hikers and a live broadcast of the German luxury kitchen brand Silit.
Popular items from women’s and men’s fashion brands will be offered at up to 30% discounted prices. Handbag brands will also be discounted up to 20%. Children’s categories will be discounted 10-40%, kitchen brands 10-50%, and bedding categories 10-30%. On the 5th floor of the new building at the main store, a popup of the Italian outdoor shoe brand ‘Scarpa’ will be held until October 13. On the 29th, from 10 a.m. for one hour, Silit will be sold at up to 74% off the regular price through Shinsegae Live Shopping mobile application and Kakao Live broadcast.
Hyundai Department Store will hold discount events with participation from about 300 brands at up to 60% off across all 16 stores nationwide including Apgujeong Main Store, as well as a large number of cultural content events such as jazz performances and art exhibitions. Weekend jazz performances will be held on the 1st of next month at the Trade Center Store and from the 15th to 16th at The Hyundai Seoul. At the 9th floor Culture Hall of Kintex Store, the ‘Louis Wain Exhibition’ will be held during the sale period, showcasing about 100 representative works by the famous British cat painter Louis Wain. At the 7th floor Glass House of Mokdong Store, the ‘Dialogue Exhibition’ will be held from the 12th to 16th of next month, featuring about 80 works by 17 domestic emerging artists.
Galleria Department Store also included various experiences such as popups in the autumn regular sale event. At the Apgujeong-dong luxury hall, a popup of the New York homewear brand Sleepy Jones will be presented until October 20. At the West 5th floor Lab494 popup space, a popup of the German design furniture brand Moormann will be held. Moormann, established in Germany in the 1980s, is gaining attention domestically and internationally by presenting unique designs through collaborations with various designers.
