Why Did They Run All the Way to Yongsan-gu and Icheon-si to Learn Seongdong-gu's Promotion Strategy?

Recently, employees from the Public Relations Department of Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do visited the Communication Officer of Seongdong-gu to learn PR strategies, followed by a visit to the Public Relations Officer of Yongsan-gu for the same reason.

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) is a district with a systematic promotion system.


They have regularized promotion strategy meetings chaired by Deputy Mayor Yu Bo-hwa, and are recognized as a district that provides more advanced promotional content compared to other districts.


Because of this, there is a continuous stream of benchmarking visits from other districts wanting to learn about Seongdong-gu's promotion strategy, attracting attention.


Recently, the Public Relations Department of Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do visited the Seongdong-gu Communication Office. Manager Jo In-dong, Media Team Leader Lee Jin-sook, and staff members Kim Sun-mi, Hong Seung-hwa, and Kim Jeong-yoon warmly welcomed them and explained their promotional activities as they are.


The officials from Icheon-si listened carefully, expressed their gratitude, and left.


Following that, Lee Young-hee, Public Relations Officer of Yongsan-gu, Media Team Leader Kwon Eun-kyung, and staff member Lee Yeon-bin visited the Seongdong-gu Communication Office, received the same explanation, and returned.


On the 21st, during an interview with a reporter, Park Hee-young, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, "Regardless of party affiliation, I consider Jeong Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, as a role model and a benchmarking target," and added, "I instructed the Public Relations Officer to learn Seongdong-gu's promotion strategy."


It is also known that districts in Seoul such as Dobong-gu have been calling Seongdong-gu to inquire about their promotion strategies.


There are also reports that Deputy Mayors of Seoul districts have inquired about Deputy Mayor Yu Bo-hwa of Seongdong-gu.


Additionally, it is reported that the Media Team of Jung-gu made a phone call to Gwanak-gu to ask about their promotion strategy.


This seems to be because the enthusiasm for promotion is gradually increasing among the districts.


The importance of not only creating good content but also packaging it well for promotion is growing.
