117 Participants Including Athletes and Officials from 5 Sports Hold Send-off Ceremony on the 22nd, Vowing to Do Their Best
Jin Byeong-yeong, the mayor of Hamyang County, Gyeongnam, participated in the Gyeongsangnam-do Disabled Sports Competition send-off ceremony to encourage the athletes.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jin Byeong-yeong, the mayor of Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, participated in the send-off ceremony for the 25th Gyeongsangnam-do Disabled Sports for All Competition held at 7 a.m. on the 22nd in front of the Hamyang-gun Health Center, encouraging the Hamyang-gun representative team and wishing for their success in the competition.
Hosted and organized by Yangsan City, the Gyeongsangnam-do Disabled Sports Association, and the Yangsan Disabled Sports Association, the 25th Gyeongsangnam-do Disabled Sports for All Competition is held over two days from the 21st, with about 4,000 representatives from each city and county competing in 27 events (15 individual, 7 team, 5 experiential).
The Hamyang-gun team participating in this competition consists of 117 members including athletes and officials, competing in five events: park golf (individual), badminton (individual), gateball (team), tug of war (team), and large jump rope (team).
Mayor Jin said, “The efforts of each and every one of you here, who have overcome physical disabilities and poor sports environments to win the battle against yourselves, will make yourselves, your families, and society healthier and will serve as a foundation for the development of disabled sports in our county.”
