[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The consultative body between the prosecution and the police to respond to stalking crimes is set to be fully operational.
According to the Supreme Prosecutors' Office on the 21st, the prosecution and police will hold their first consultative meeting at 3 p.m. on the 22nd at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office building in Seocho-gu, Seoul. From the prosecution, Hwang Byung-joo, Chief of the Criminal Division, and Kim Do-yeon, Chief of the Criminal Division 3, will attend, while from the National Police Agency, Kim Hee-jung, Director of the Criminal Bureau, and Yeo Jin-yong, Chief of the Women and Juvenile Crime Investigation Division, will participate.
Earlier, on the 19th, Prosecutor General Lee Won-seok visited the National Police Agency as his first external schedule after taking office and met with Police Commissioner Yoon Hee-geun. They agreed to establish a consultative body to enhance response capabilities to prevent crimes like the Sindang Station stalking murder case from happening again.
