[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] A pet groomer in Incheon is suspected of leaving dogs, illegally entrusted to her care, in unsanitary conditions.

The animal protection organization 'Animal Rights Group CARE' announced on the 20th that they plan to file charges against a woman in her 20s, Ms. A, for violating the Animal Protection Act.

CARE received a report around May this year about 4 to 5 dogs being left in unsanitary conditions in a villa in Michuhol-gu, Incheon.

In the video released by CARE, emaciated dogs with visible ribs were seen wandering inside a house filled with feces and garbage. Some dogs were even caught eating a dog carcass.

CARE stated on social media, "Dogs were left neglected in a private home after being illegally entrusted, with their bones showing and living dogs eating a dead dog," adding, "The house where the dogs were kept was a pile of filth."

They further claimed, "Ms. A, while working as a groomer, is said to repeatedly beat the dogs," and "She has taken the dogs and disappeared to another location."

Finally, CARE requested related information, stating, "We intend to find Ms. A, file charges for animal abuse, and ensure the safety of the dogs."
