Picco Partners, a brand specializing in unmanned solutions for study cafes and reading rooms, announced that its self-developed SaaS program will be launched overseas for the first time in Korea, targeting markets such as Hong Kong, Australia, and the United States.
The reason Picco's software program was able to simultaneously secure distribution channels in multiple foreign countries was due to its development from the early stages with globalization in mind, creating a modular SaaS system compatible with kiosks in various countries.
As it is Windows-based, it supports all kiosk-compatible models, and for access control systems, installing Picco Partners' self-developed 'Picco Agent' allows integration with the program.
In Hong Kong, the system not only integrates with the locally used Octopus payment system but also connects with kiosk devices, enabling centralized management of access devices through Picco Partners' 'HUB system.' This system allows remote control such as monitoring and rebooting between devices.
Currently, the program is applied in two study cafes located in Causeway Bay and Mong Kok, Hong Kong, and negotiations are underway for program adoption in Australia and the United States.
Especially overseas, unlike in Korea, messaging and authentication via messenger apps are preferred over mobile text messages (Short Message Service), so functions will be provided tailored to local preferences.
An industry representative stated, “Picco Partners' SaaS program has been highly developed in a modular form to be applicable and usable in various environments regardless of country or industry.
As a result, inquiries for program supply have surged not only from study cafes and reading rooms but also from various space-related industries such as shared offices, leading to the achievement of overseas program supply project orders.
We believe that securing opportunities was possible because, in less than two years since the brand launch, the SaaS program has been supplied to 2,000 stores nationwide, making us the number one company in Korea. We plan to do our best to strengthen the company’s overseas expansion and service competitiveness in the future.”
