Cross-Platform Service OneGameLoop
Surpasses 100 Titles in Just One Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] The application (app) market One Store announced on the 19th that its cross-platform service ‘One Game Loop’ surpassed a cumulative payment amount of 30 billion KRW in about one year since its launch, thanks to attracting major game titles.
One Game Loop is a service representing the multi-OS sector that transcends device and OS boundaries, part of One Store’s corporate vision of a ‘global multi-operating system (OS) content platform.’ It began beta service in September last year and recently celebrated its first anniversary.
One Game Loop was developed to distribute and play mobile games on PCs and other devices. By minimizing central processing unit (CPU) usage and memory consumption, it provides a comfortable gaming environment using about half the PC resources compared to other platforms. One Store explained that it also optimally utilizes PC graphics card performance to enable clearer and smoother high-definition gameplay.
The number of game titles available has also increased, recently surpassing 100. Games such as Wemade’s ‘Mir4,’ Nexon’s ‘Blue Archive,’ and NCSoft’s ‘Blade & Soul 2’ joined One Game Loop last year and this year. One Store expects the number of titles to continue growing rapidly as the trend of cross-play, allowing users to enjoy games across platforms, spreads quickly.
One Game Loop is also highly regarded for its economic efficiency and effectiveness for developers. Developers do not need to separately develop a PC version when listing on One Game Loop, nor do they need to undergo additional game rating processes. They can also benefit from One Store’s low commission fees. In August, a large-scale feature update introduced 64-bit service, enabling high-spec games to be used in optimal conditions.
Discount benefits are also a driving force for popularity. One Game Loop users can receive the same daily 10% discount, membership points, and cashback benefits provided by the three major telecom companies on One Store as they do on mobile.
Lee Jae-hwan, CEO of One Store, said, “Thanks to the app operation know-how and technology accumulated by One Store, we have successfully established One Game Loop within one year of service and are pioneering the cross-platform market ahead of others. We will continue to provide the highest level of play experience to users through continuous updates while offering services that maximize convenience for developers.”
