O Tae-wan, Uiryeong County Governor, "Let's Reaffirm the Importance of Communication and Participation with Residents" O Tae-wan, the governor of Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam, is emphasizing administrative practices that meet the residents' level of understanding ahead of the manifesto special lecture.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] O Tae-wan, the governor of Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam, arranged a manifesto special lecture to inspire not only himself but also public officials about the importance of communication and resident participation, which can be overlooked when focusing solely on achieving campaign promises.


On the 16th, Uiryeong-gun held the event for 17 department heads and staff responsible for the 8th term campaign projects to systematically promote the 8th term campaign projects by enhancing public officials' manifesto mindset and campaign implementation capabilities.


Lee Kwang-jae, Secretary General of the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters, who was invited as a lecturer that day, gave a lecture on ▲ how to write and evaluate campaign implementation plans ▲ the manifesto movement and democracy ▲ setting the development direction of Uiryeong-gun and collaboration cases for the successful promotion of the 8th term campaign projects.


Through the lecture, the manifesto movement was emphasized as the foundation of deliberative democracy, highlighting sharing and cooperation by listening to residents' opinions and practicing them during the campaign implementation process.


Governor O Tae-wan said, “It was a time to once again reflect on the importance of communication and resident participation, which are easy to miss when focusing only on achieving goals,” and added, “We will do our best to communicate at the level of the residents and ensure that the campaign promises are proven by results and changes.”


The county plans to finalize the campaign implementation plan and confirm the campaign projects through a residents' campaign evaluation committee meeting, a deliberative democracy method, on the 19th, and intends to publicly announce them through the county website within this month.
