Aton Supplies Authentication Solution mPKI to Musicow

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Fintech security group Aton announced on the 15th that it has supplied its security authentication solution mPKI to Musicow, a music copyright royalty participation claim investment platform. Aton continues to provide full support for Musicow to establish itself as an intellectual property (IP) culture tech platform.

Aton's mPKI supplied to Musicow is an advanced security authentication solution applying white-box encryption technology. Users can safely perform various authentications required in financial processes such as login, deposit/withdrawal, transactions, and personal information management within the Musicow app through mPKI. Since mPKI manages certificates in a special secure space, it can block certificate theft and duplication. With the introduction of this solution, Musicow's 'personal authentication' is expected to be strengthened to the same level as general financial institutions.

Aton has supplied major solutions including mPKI mainly to large domestic banks and securities firms. It is expanding its security and authentication solution business into the digital virtual asset sector. Aton plans to build a new business pipeline in the IP financial platform area together with Musicow and grow it into a new revenue source.

Aton, which established ties with Musicow through Series B investment in March 2020, signed an MOU in December 2021. They agreed to continue strategic collaboration with Musicow to enhance platform system authentication and security, and to develop new services utilizing music IP portfolios.

Musicow is preparing for a major service overhaul by promoting the introduction of real-name trading accounts for customers, disclosures through the electronic disclosure system for corporate information by accounting audit firms, and the launch of an advisory committee, among various systems to protect investor assets.

Woo Gilsu, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Aton's Business Development, said, "We plan to gradually review the expansion of Aton's major solutions across the entire related business of Musicow's IP financial platform."

A Musicow official explained, "Since Aton's solutions are used by large domestic banks and securities firms, the user authentication security level of Musicow will be strengthened to the same level," adding, "We will do our best to establish user protection measures that comply with the Capital Markets Act."
