[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, is recruiting new Good Price Businesses until October 14.

A Good Price Business is an establishment that sells products or services at affordable prices while providing high-quality service, designated by Gimhae City according to the standards of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

A city official stated, "Good Price Businesses play a significant role in stabilizing prices in the surrounding commercial areas. As part of the price stabilization measures, we plan to expand Good Price Businesses to ease the dining expenses burden on citizens struggling with the recent persistent high inflation."

Applicants must have business locations in Gimhae City and include ▲restaurants ▲beauty salons ▲laundry services ▲accommodations ▲other personal service businesses.

Franchise businesses, establishments that have been operating for less than six months, those exceeding average prices, those that have received administrative sanctions within the past two years, or those with local tax arrears are excluded from designation.

The city provides selected businesses with benefits such as ▲certification plaques, signboards, and price tags ▲monthly provision of volume-based waste bags worth 24,000 KRW and quarterly hygiene consumables.

Each year, three businesses are separately selected to receive subsidies for improving aging facilities, and information about Good Price Businesses in the area is promoted on the city hall website and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Good Price Business website.

As of this month, there are a total of 73 Good Price Businesses in Gimhae City, and the city aims to designate more than 80 through this recruitment.

Businesses wishing to apply can visit city hall with their ID and business registration certificate or submit applications by mail or email. For more details, inquiries can be made to the city's Regional Economy Division.

A city official said, "Considering the deepening difficulties of the low-income economy due to ongoing price instability, we plan to actively discover and expand Good Price Businesses next year. We hope many people show interest in recruiting Good Price Businesses that help stabilize local prices and reduce household burdens, and that they visit and use Good Price Businesses in their neighborhood at least once."
