[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] KB Insurance announced on the 15th that it is operating a 'Fingerprint Registration Discount' system linked with the National Police Agency's 'Fingerprint Pre-registration System' to establish a social safety net.
The National Police Agency's 'Fingerprint Pre-registration System' is a system that registers fingerprints, photos, and guardian personal information to enable the early discovery of missing children and missing dementia patients, utilizing the registered data for quick identification in case of disappearance.
KB Insurance explained that it established the 'Fingerprint Registration Discount' system, which applies the 'Fingerprint Pre-registration System' to products related to children and dementia patients eligible for fingerprint registration, offering discounts on insurance premiums.
KB Insurance currently provides a 3% discount on insurance premiums for one year upon submission of the 'Fingerprint Pre-registration Confirmation' after subscribing to the newly enhanced 'KB Oh! Precious Child Insurance' launched in July and the 'KB Caregiving Insurance' launched this month, which comprehensively covers caregiving and dementia.
A KB Insurance official said, "We developed the 'Fingerprint Registration Discount' to sincerely protect not only physical and mental health but also the safety of children and the elderly," adding, "KB Insurance will continue efforts to create customer happiness and a better world."
