KCA Korea Consumer Evaluation announced the evaluation results for the “2022 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation 'Food Service Industry'” in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, hosted by the Korea Consumer Council and organized by Korea Consumer Evaluation.
This consumer industry evaluation is conducted to revitalize the domestic food service industry and to introduce outstanding companies leading the food culture by selecting excellent companies by region and food category that have received high ratings from consumers who have experienced using the respective food service establishments, thereby promoting their excellence to consumers.
From April to June, a preliminary survey was conducted on 609,749 restaurants nationwide based on the number of reviews on portal sites, and as a result, the country was divided into two regions. Top-rated candidates were carefully selected and candidate notifications were made. Detailed candidate selection criteria can be found on the Korea Consumer Evaluation website.
The final evaluation is conducted on registered candidates based on actual consumer review evaluations according to the evaluation schedule by Korea Consumer Evaluation, using criteria such as △food taste △facility satisfaction △staff friendliness △response to complaints △price appropriateness △accessibility △overall evaluation, to select and announce excellent companies by region and food category.

A representative from Korea Consumer Evaluation stated, “The 2022 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation ‘Food Service Industry’ is an announcement that honors the efforts of food service companies providing high-quality dining services to consumers. We will strive every year to deliver more beneficial specialized information related to dining to consumers.”
They also added, “In line with the purpose and meaning of the consumer industry evaluation, we plan to support vulnerable children in need due to domestic COVID-19 and other crisis situations through Save the Children. We hope to provide some strength to children lacking groceries and basic necessities due to the COVID-19 situation.”
