Metaverse "mever" Selected as Grand Prize Winner in South Korea's Cultural Management Metaverse Category

Metaverse platform company Mever announced that it won the "Grand Prize in the Metaverse Category" at the 2022 Korea Culture Management Awards held on September 5.

The Korea Culture Management Awards is hosted by Herald Economy and Korea Herald, and organized by Monthly Power Korea (Publisher Baek Jong-won). Established by Herald Co., Ltd., this awards ceremony has been held for 17 years as the largest-scale event in Korea, recognizing individuals, companies, institutions, and brands that have strived to build a culturally strong Korea through outstanding cultural competitiveness in various fields, and promoting them widely both domestically and internationally.

The ceremony, held at the Korea Press Center in Jongno, Seoul, awarded grand prizes in various categories to organizations such as the Hankyung Foundation, Seoul Tourism Foundation, Korea eSports Promotion Association, and Korea Youth Art Association. Amid the global popularity of K-pop, K-cinema, and other K-content and K-culture, attention is focused on whether "Mever" will grow as a K-platform into a typhoon in the global metaverse market.

Mever is known for surpassing the limitations of existing metaverse platforms, which are often simple games, event-based, one-off, or limited by wearable devices, by optimizing its own international patented modules for famous devices and providing special devices aligned with the real economy to business operators.

In particular, when Mever modules are installed on well-known devices such as Samsung, LG, and Apple’s POS kiosks, tablets, and TVs, business operators can attract an additional daily metaverse consumer base ranging from a minimum of 100 to a maximum of 100,000 people to their establishments, thereby increasing sales beyond their existing revenue. It also allows them to present products and services to consumers that are identical to those in reality.

Lee Sang-min, CEO of Mever, expressed his ambition, saying, "Having earned the honor of the Korea Culture Management Awards, we will reflect the diverse cultures of our customers in Mever devices and make K-culture and K-metaverse the center of the global metaverse through Mever."

To celebrate this award and thank customers, Mever announced that those who subscribe on the Mever website by September 30, 2022, will be prioritized by industry and can use Mever devices free of charge for three months.
