[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] The police are conducting an inquiry regarding an incident in an apartment in Incheon where a real doll (an adult product modeled after the human body) fell. The National Forensic Service analyzed the DNA collected from the real doll but reportedly could not identify a suspect.

According to Yonhap News on the 11th, the Nonhyeon Police Station in Incheon received the DNA analysis results from the National Forensic Service. Although the suspect was confirmed to be male, there were no matches found in the internal DNA database.

This is related to a vehicle damage incident that occurred earlier in an apartment in Incheon. On July 21 at around 2:15 p.m., a 112 emergency call was received reporting that "a real doll fell and damaged a passenger car" at an apartment in Seochang-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon.

The owner of the damaged vehicle, Mr. A, discovered the real doll lying next to his car as he was about to go out. After noticing that the top part of the vehicle was severely dented by the falling object, Mr. A contacted the apartment management office to request that they keep the real doll and then reported the incident to the police.

The police who arrived at the scene seized the real doll kept by the management office, collected DNA from it, and requested analysis from the National Forensic Service. They also checked the closed-circuit television (CCTV) within the apartment complex and black boxes of parked vehicles, but confirmed that no footage captured the moment the real doll fell.

Currently, the police are conducting an inquiry focusing on one apartment building where the falling object is most likely to have come from, considering the location where the damaged vehicle was parked and the damaged area. They are seeking cooperation from residents. It has been confirmed that some households in this apartment have already cooperated with the police by providing DNA samples.

However, since the collected DNA must be sent back to the National Forensic Service for individual analysis, it is expected to take considerable time to identify the suspect. The police plan to apply charges such as property damage once the owner of the real doll is identified.
