Dongtan 2 New City Gwangbicom, Final Supply of First-Tier Brand

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Wanyong] The last major brand sale complex in the Dongtan 2 New City Wide-area Business Complex (commonly known as Gwangbi-com) is scheduled for supply in September.

Gwangbi-com is one of the seven special planning zones in Dongtan 2 New City and is being developed as a central business and commercial area. The SRT Dongtan Station within Gwangbi-com is being developed into a complex transfer center where the GTX-A line, Dongtan Tram, Dongtan-Indeokwon line, and buses are connected in a one-stop system, making it a future transportation hub in the southern metropolitan area.

Additionally, once the undergrounding project of the section passing through Dongtan 2 New City as part of the Gyeongbu Expressway straightening project, scheduled for completion by the end of next year, is finished, it will be possible to walk from the western side of Gwangbi-com to Dongtan Station via the ground level, which is expected to further improve residential conditions.

Currently, due to the Gyeongbu Expressway dividing Dongtan 2 New City north to south, it takes over an hour on foot or about 15 to 20 minutes by bus to get from the western side of Gwangbi-com to the Dongtan Station area located on the eastern side.

In this Gwangbi-com area, Hyundai Construction is offering for sale ‘Hillstate Dongtan Station Centric,’ consisting of four buildings from basement level 4 to ground level 39, mainly composed of 400 units with a net area of 84㎡. To broaden consumer choices, it is designed with a total of 10 types. The top floors are differentiated as attic-type penthouses, with two units each of 84㎡ and 107㎡ types.

This complex is particularly notable as it is the first Hillstate brand introduced by Hyundai Construction in Gwangbi-com. Every unit will have a terrace, and built-in home appliances such as bespoke refrigerators and dishwashers will be installed.

A sales official said, “Gwangbi-com is considered a representative preferred residential area within Dongtan 2 New City,” adding, “It is also expected to be the biggest beneficiary of the undergrounding project of the section passing through Dongtan 2 New City as part of the Gyeongbu Expressway straightening project.”
