"Apple Watch Pro Display to Be 49mm"

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] CAD-based rendering images of the 'Apple Watch Pro' model, expected to be unveiled on the 7th (local time), have been released. The new Pro model is expected to feature a larger display with a design that differentiates it from the existing Watch Series 8.

IT specialty media 91Mobile revealed the Apple Watch Pro CAD images on the 5th (local time), stating that "the Apple Watch Pro will be available in a 49mm size." This is 3mm and 8mm larger than the current Apple Watch sizes of 41mm and 45mm, respectively.

Bloomberg reporters Mark Gurman and others have predicted that the new Apple Watch Pro model will have the largest display in Apple Watch history.

The recently released Apple Watch Pro CAD-based images show a large display with very thin bezels. On the right side, the digital crown, microphone, and a frame that can accommodate multitasking functions are noticeable. On the left side, an additional button is installed, but its function has not been disclosed.

According to IT tipsters, the Apple Watch Pro will allow users to view fitness functions and health tracking statistics at a glance. The wider screen is expected to support new watch modes. It is anticipated to feature a larger battery, support low power mode, and come with a titanium case, among other features.

Due to these characteristics, the Apple Watch Pro has been nicknamed the initial 'Rugged Edition.' Its durable and waterproof case makes it suitable for extreme environments. Some analyses suggest it may be less suitable for general customers, targeting athletes and mountaineers instead.

The new product price is estimated to be around $900 to $1,000 (approximately 1.23 million to 1.37 million KRW). 91Mobile added that this would likely be the most expensive smartwatch Apple has ever introduced.
