[Asia Economy Reporters Kum Boryeong, Kwon Hyunji] As the People Power Party settles into its new emergency response committee system, the voices of first-term lawmakers, known as the so-called 'Shin Yun Core Group,' are growing louder. In particular, a new intra-party group centered around first-term lawmakers is expected to be formed.

On the 5th, People Power Party lawmaker Park Sooyoung said in a phone interview with Asia Economy, "It is true that there is talk among first-term lawmakers about 'shouldn't we create a group that raises our voices?'" adding, "It has not yet been concretized, and discussions will start from today."

With lawmakers Jang Je-won and Kwon Seong-dong, who were previously part of the 'Yun Core Group' (key associates of President Yoon Seok-yeol), hinting at resignation, pro-Yoon first-term lawmakers within the party are emerging prominently. There are 63 first-term lawmakers in the People Power Party, accounting for more than half of all lawmakers.

Originally, there was a group called 'Myungbulheojeon Bosuda' that included all first-term lawmakers, but since they have different views, Park argues that those with similar opinions should form a new group.

The first-term lawmakers' group mentioned by Park can be seen as 'Chosimmanri' Season 2. Chosimmanri was a political reform group created by Park along with lawmakers Seo Beom-su, Jeon Ju-hye, Heo Eun-ah, and Hwang Bo Seung-hee during the time of the United Future Party (the predecessor of the People Power Party). Park explained, "Our influence has weakened significantly now, so there is talk about doing Season 2 again," adding, "We need to listen to people's opinions and discuss it more broadly overall."
