Areumdawoon Gage Mokpo Hadang Branch Hosts 'Lee Jeongsook Sharing Day'

Remembering the Late Lee Jeong-sook, the Angel of Activity... Continuing 14 Years of Sharing This Year

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Hyeong-seok] The public interest corporation Beautiful Store Mokpo Hadang Branch, which practices sharing and circulation, held the 14th annual 'Lee Jeong-suk Sharing Day' on the 2nd of this year.

This event delivered daily necessities support sharing boxes and 100 boxes of sanitary pads (worth 5 million KRW), sponsored by Mokpo company Cheongho Energy, to vulnerable children and adolescent families in the Mokpo area.

At the delivery ceremony, attendees included Moon Cha-bok, Chairperson of the Mokpo City Council; Baek Dong-gyu, Mokpo City Council member; Moon Yong-jin, Director of Bubu Korean Medicine Clinic; Jang Yoon-kyung, Executive Director of Beautiful Store; Jeong Gwi-ok, Head of the Volunteer Angel Group; Kang Young-hee, Co-representative of Gwangju Mokpo Headquarters; and Kim Hee-seong, Chairperson of the Mokpo Hadang Branch Operating Advisory Committee.

The donated sharing boxes were delivered to at-risk children and adolescent families in the Mokpo area through Mokpo City Dream Start and Seongmo House, and the proceeds from the event on the day are planned to be used, as in previous years, to support a project that distributes school bags to adolescents entering middle school.

Meanwhile, Lee Jeong-suk Sharing Day has been held annually during the first week of September since 2004 to remember the late Lee Jeong-suk, who volunteered 385 hours as a volunteer angel at the Mokpo Original Downtown Branch, actively sharing and giving love to residents before passing away due to acute cerebral hemorrhage.
