[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Samyook University (President Kim Ilmok) announced on the 1st that "it paid the highest amount of scholarships per student among universities in the metropolitan area (Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon) last year, ranking first for three consecutive years following 2019 and 2020."

Among general universities in the metropolitan area with over 5,000 enrolled students (including both national/public and private universities), this is the highest amount.
This amount is approximately 580,000 KRW more than the national average scholarship of 3,335,000 KRW per student at general and education universities, and about 620,000 KRW more than the metropolitan area university average of 3,298,000 KRW. Considering that Samyook University's average annual tuition fee last year was 7,748,262 KRW, more than half of the tuition is supported through scholarships.
