Geochang-gun Holds Final Report Meeting for the 5th Community Social Security Plan The final report meeting for the Community Social Security Plan is in progress.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province held the 5th Regional Social Security Plan Establishment Final Report Meeting on August 31 at the Geochang-gun Comprehensive Social Welfare Center auditorium.


About 40 people attended the meeting, including County Governor Goo In-mo, representatives of the Geochang-gun Regional Social Security Council, the TF team for establishing the regional social security plan, and public officials in charge of various social security sectors.


The regional social security plan is a legally mandated mid- to long-term plan updated every four years that comprehensively covers residents' welfare needs and resources, local government social security projects, and areas such as care, education, protection, culture and leisure, environment, and employment.


The 5th Geochang-gun Regional Social Security Plan aims for a citizen-tailored city and a greater leap forward for Geochang. It incorporates opinions from local residents and expert groups to establish a seamless care system across generations and classes, create a safe and healthy demand-oriented Geochang, strengthen jobs and education for a greater leap forward, and provide cultural and living infrastructure enjoyed by all citizens. The plan includes 22 detailed projects under 4 strategic systems and 16 representative tasks under 4 development strategies.


Shin Jong-hak, the private committee chair of the Geochang-gun Regional Social Security Council, said, “We thank everyone who worked hard to establish the 5th regional social security plan,” and added, “We ask for active cooperation from the project departments so that the plan is not only established but also implemented.”


Governor Goo said, “As times change, the needs of our citizens are also diversifying,” and expressed hope that “by establishing a feasible welfare policy foundation that all citizens can empathize with, our county’s social welfare can develop and grow.”
