First, on the 2nd, he will visit the agricultural products direct transaction market held in the parking lot of the Nonghyup Gwangju Regional Headquarters located in Usan-dong, Gwangsan-gu, where agricultural and livestock products produced by 14 local farmers are sold, and communicate with citizens visiting the sales site and the producing farmers.
On the 5th, he plans to visit a workers' workwear laundry located in Hanam Industrial Complex to check the laundry operation status and encourage the workers.
He will then visit the nearby Kobico Co., Ltd. Hanam Factory to listen to the difficulties faced by companies due to the current economic situation.
On the 7th and 8th, he will visit Malbau Market and Namgwangju Market to check consumer price perceptions, have lunch with traditional market merchants, and exchange opinions on the local economic situation felt on site and measures to revitalize traditional markets.
The city plans to reflect the various opinions collected during this field visit in future city administration directions to do its best to stabilize livelihoods.
Since taking office, Mayor Kang has focused on stabilizing livelihoods by signing the ‘100-Day Measures for High Oil Prices and High Inflation Livelihood’ as his first approval and ordering the immediate operation of the ‘Livelihood Economy Countermeasures Headquarters’ as his first directive.
Meanwhile, Gwangju City has been implementing the ‘Chuseok Special Quarantine and Citizen Life Stabilization Measures’ from the 22nd of last month to the 12th of this month.
The special measures include 3 sectors, 10 items, and 48 tasks, focusing on current issues such as ‘price stabilization measures’ and ‘COVID-19 response’ to ensure citizens have a comfortable and safe holiday.
