[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Park Soo-young, a member of the People Power Party who has been making sharp remarks targeting former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok day after day, argued that more severe measures than resignation should be taken against the former leader. This is interpreted as a call for additional disciplinary action by the party's Ethics Committee.

On the 1st, Park said through her social network service (SNS), "At the January 16th party meeting, when former leader Lee was almost pushed to the brink of impeachment, he apologized at the meeting and promised, 'If I run away again, I will resign.'"

The party meeting Park referred to appears to be the January 6th meeting this year, where a resolution urging Lee's resignation was prepared. At that time, President Yoon Seok-yeol, who was the presidential candidate, attended the final party meeting, temporarily resolving the conflict.

Park suggested the need for additional disciplinary action, saying, "(Former leader Lee's) recent series of actions and remarks are more severe than running away. Therefore, shouldn't more severe measures than resignation be taken?"

She recently targeted former leader Lee several times through SNS. On the 30th of last month, she mentioned Lee's alleged sexual bribery, saying, "Yangduguyuk: From now on, it refers to the act of 'Baenasa' on the front and receiving entertainment behind the scenes."

Baenasa refers to the nonprofit educational volunteer organization 'Baeumeul Nanuneun Saramdeul' (People Sharing Learning) established by former leader Lee. The next day, she attacked both Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and former leader Lee, saying, "The two Lees with high judicial risks seem to believe that attack is the best defense, but ultimately they will not be able to avoid it."
