[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok has expressed that he would resign if the court grants the injunction, as revealed by former Supreme Council member Jeong Mi-gyeong, who is classified as 'pro-Lee.' However, on the 31st, Lee drew a line by saying, "That is a story about the situation in early August."

On the same day, Lee shared an article containing an interview with former Supreme Council member Jeong on his social network service (SNS), stating, "After the injunction, depending on how the authors behave, other directions might have been possible, but looking at the current direction, the romanticized ending in early August mentioned by Supreme Council member Jeong is literally impossible."

Earlier, former Supreme Council member Jeong revealed in a media interview that Lee had expressed his intention to resign if the court granted the injunction. In response, Lee said, "Supreme Council member Jeong urged me not to file the injunction, and I said, 'Proceed with the injunction, and depending on the result, correct what is wrong and resign if necessary, but this is unacceptable.'" He revealed the backstory.

He added, "So, I persuaded her to participate in the injunction, and around that time, after several phone calls with Assemblyman Jang Je-won, former Supreme Council member Jeong held a solo resignation press conference saying, 'I will resign.' Since then, I have had no conversations with former Supreme Council member Jeong."

Later, in another SNS post, Lee quoted a line from the movie Hansan, saying, "Ultimately, it becomes a fight between righteousness and injustice. They are trying to build a fortress of angry party members' hearts that they cannot cross," and requested, "Please lend your strength by joining the party."
