[Berlin, Germany = Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] LG Electronics will showcase new home appliances such as a super-large OLED TV and the 'Styler Shoe Case' at Europe's largest home appliance exhibition, 'IFA 2022.' The company plans to offer visitors a 'F·U·N (Fantastic, Unique, Never-before-seen)' experience through a diverse portfolio.
On the 1st, LG Electronics announced that it will provide a differentiated 'customer experience' under the theme of 'Rediscovering New Possibilities in Everyday Life' at IFA 2022. The event will be held for five days from the 2nd to the 6th (local time). In a 3,610㎡ standalone exhibition hall (Hall 18), LG will present various innovative products including ▲a lineup of super-large TVs offering overwhelming viewing experiences ▲OLED TVs specialized for gaming performance ▲customized home appliances targeting diverse customer lifestyles.
LG is synonymous with TVs. Upon entering the booth, visitors are overwhelmed by the world's largest OLED TV, the '97-inch' OLED Evo Gallery Edition. The OLED Evo is equipped with the 5th generation AI Alpha 9 processor, delivering evolved picture and sound quality. This elevates customers' home entertainment experiences to a new level.
To the right of the OLED Evo, a 136-inch 4K resolution Micro LED is displayed alongside premium audio speakers from Bang & Olufsen, creating a home cinema space. Each pixel emits its own light, providing immersive picture quality unique to self-emissive displays, along with premium sound simultaneously to visitors. LG Electronics also showcases a lineup of super-large TVs including the 88-inch LG SIGNATURE OLED 8K and the 86-inch premium LCD TV LG QNED 8K, allowing visitors to experience overwhelming picture quality.

The main theme of the exhibition is the creation of the 'Flex Arcade.' Its purpose is to allow visitors to freely experience the overwhelming gaming performance of OLED TVs. Notably, the 'bendable' gaming OLED TV 'Flex,' introduced for the first time at this exhibition, is featured here. Based on an innovative form factor unique to OLED and overwhelming picture quality, it offers premium customers an entertainment experience beyond expectations. The Flex is a '42-inch' screen that can be freely bent and unfolded, maximizing the strengths of OLED. Visitors can enjoy a variety of content freely in the Flex Arcade zone, from nostalgic arcade games to the latest console games, as well as OTT and movies, using about 20 Flex units.
The 'Lifestyle Zone' is set up to resemble living spaces such as a home bar, living room, styling room, and eco-friendly kitchen, making visitors feel as if they are at home. In the 'Styling Room,' LG Electronics exhibits the newly introduced next-generation premium shoe care solutions, 'LG Styler Shoe Case' and 'Shoe Care,' attracting visitors' attention. The 'LG Styler Shoe Case' features subtle internal lighting and a pedestal that can rotate 360 degrees like a turntable, making shoes look more luxurious and eye-catching like a department store boutique display. The 'LG Styler Shoe Care,' inheriting Styler's patented steam technology, is characterized by allowing different types of shoes to be placed in the upper and lower compartments and managed simultaneously with customized courses optimized for each shoe type.
Additionally, LG introduces the 'Tromm WashTower Compact' laundry appliance designed for those living in small homes such as single-person households, targeting users with small laundry loads. The new concept table-type air purifier 'PuriCare AeroFurniture' is also showcased. The lower part of the PuriCare AeroFurniture features a cylindrical design, while the upper part offers two types of tables: round and track-shaped. LG Electronics also plans to present an upgraded smart home experience using the smart home platform 'LG ThinQ,' along with an 'UP Appliance' upgrade experience. UP Appliances are products that can be upgraded with new functions immediately via LG ThinQ.
The exhibition space created in collaboration with the Dutch premium lifestyle brand 'Moooi' also draws attention. Two LG OLED Objet Collection models with differentiated spatial interior sensibility and the premium wireless speaker LG XBOOM 360 harmonize with Moooi's furniture, lighting, and interior accessories known for their unique design, creating a premium lifestyle space. In the 'UltraGear Gaming Zone,' visitors can experience the new LG UltraGear OLED gaming monitor. This new product is the first UltraGear gaming monitor to feature a curved OLED panel, providing an immersive 'gaming experience' by allowing the entire screen to be seen at a glance even from close distances.
Lee Jung-seok, Executive Vice President and Head of LG Electronics' Global Marketing Center, emphasized, "Based on innovative new technologies, we will provide a customer experience on a different level and lead a new home appliance trend that has never existed before."
